I have been an educator for 28 years, teaching math and computer science, coaching, and writing curriculum. I am now a full-time mentor to new teachers in my district. I recently completed my Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership. I also adjunct and write courses for Franklin University in Columbus, OH.
One on one! I get the kids working quickly, then walk around from student to student to see how they are doing. I talk VERY little. Engage the students the most you can - and encourage them to take a more active role in their own learning.
Maybe someday - but in the meantime, a "You're the best math teacher" from a student will do.

I am a published author with my first math book listed at Amazon.com called Puzzling Algebra. The book contains 60+ pages of puzzles and mazes, etc. on order of operations, Pythagorean Theorem, equations, logs, plotting points, graphing lines and parabolas, complex numbers, the binary number system, etc. My second book, I Can: Teach Myself to Graph Linear Equations came from a request for more self-help materials. I look forward to writing the next one.
