I have over 3 years of experience as a literacy specialist working in schools and private practices. I have also conducted research related to literacy outcomes in children of varying socio economic statuses. My combined love for literacy, language and research has prompted me to begin my masters in speech language pathology. Literacy is certainly one of my favourite passions (and always will be), but I also love getting our kiddos to start talking! As a current SLP student, I am dedicated to using the knowledge acquired from my studies, as well as the experience I continue to accumulate as a literacy specialist to deliver quality materials to you all.

My teaching style is largely play-based. I don't ever want to feel like I am forcing my students to do something to gain a reward. Rather, my goal as literacy specialist is to find the child's carrot. Their true intrinsic motivators. This is why I aim to deliver interactive literacy games and activities that don't feel like work for the kids! Hopefully, my activities will increase your student's motivation to keep learning.
