My approach is built on critical theory, feminist approaches that center on learning from personal experience, and Buddhist thought/ mindfulness from my 20 years of being a Buddhist. This has made me into a teacher that always aims to give students a directly meaningful experience for them to learn from. I have also blended this approach with Social/Emotional Learning so that my classroom encourages open minded and nurturing/supportive community.
