I am a New York State certified English Language Arts (ELA) teacher and School Library Media Specialist and with over 25 years experience as an educator. The bulk of this time was spent as an ELA teacher.
I enjoy planning engaging and thoughtful-provoking lessons that incorporate strong literacy and information skills to support student learning. I am particularly invested in creating successful learning experiences for struggling or at risk learners.
1. Principal's Award: Librarianship (2017) Creating a Hub of Learning in the Library 2. Award to Self: Teacher Survival (lifetime) Maintaining most of my sanity throughout 20+ years in the educational system and still loving to teach
