TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a New York State certified English Language Arts (ELA) teacher and School Library Media Specialist and with over 25 years experience as an educator. The bulk of this time was spent as an ELA teacher.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I enjoy planning engaging and thoughtful-provoking lessons that incorporate strong literacy and information skills to support student learning. I am particularly invested in creating successful learning experiences for struggling or at risk learners.

I received my B.A. in English from the University of South Carolina; M.A. for the Teaching of English from Teachers College, Columbia University; M.S. in Library and Information Science School Media from Syracuse University; and have a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certificate.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I became TPT seller in 2009 but went missing in action (2010 - 2020). I have returned in 2021 more committed than ever in my passion for creating teaching materials to make learning accessible and pleasant for every learner and to make these materials available to other educators.
