TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught in private and public school. My grades taught are 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and music for grades k-5. My forte is reading and science. I am also excellent and PBL.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I incorporate projects in reading and science. My classroom is full of group work, students presenting their research, ideas and projects. Students become self sufficient and rely less and less on me as the school year progresses. Students learn to think on their own and to problem solve.

I have a BA in Interdisciplinary studies, a Masters degree in curriculum studies, ESL certification and a Principalship certification.

I have raised two daughters, one of which is a 1st grade school teacher. I have been married for 28 years to my soul mate. We love to travel and see the world. Teaching is my passion and love, and I am blessed to be able to work with the wonderful students in my class each year.
