I have 37 years of teaching experience and am a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of Middle Childhood Generalist. I have credentials in two states (California and Oregon) which include: Elementary Education K-6 self-contained, Supplemental Authorization in teaching English K-9, English Language Learner Endorsement, Masters in Educational Technology. National Board Certified and successful renewal 2005-present.
I like to joke and have fun, however, I am strict when it comes to keeping organized, finishing work, and meeting due dates. I have high expectations for students and understand that they all have great potential. I work hard to build a good relationship with each and every student in order to make that personal connection.

I wanted to be a teacher since I was 7 years old. I use to make my brother and sister play school. Naturally, I insisted on being the teacher. I went to the University of LaVerne in LaVerne, California where I obtained my Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree. I taught school for 14 years in Southern California and 23 years in Oregon. I received my National Board Certification in 2005 and renewed it in 2015.
I am a mother of two and a grandmother of two. I enjoy gardening and grow lots of Dahlias. I also enjoy digital photography. I have a 2 cats and a 60 year old tortoise named Sherman.
