Former high school business and computer teacher for seven years. I now work as the instructional technology specialist for the district and work with teachers K-12. I have recently written the curriculum for our computer teachers K-4. I also write many JH social studies lessons as my husband is an 8th grade social studies teacher :)

With the nature of what I taught, everything was hands on. I integrated technology regularly and created my teaching units so they were always interactive with the student coming up and working on the interactive board. It was always extremely important to me that my lessons were designed for constant formative assessment...I wanted to know what the students knew, not simply what I was going to teach them next.

I was born and raised in Texas but have lived here in Missouri now since 2002. I have a wonderful family and two beautiful children.
