TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have had the opportunity to play many different roles in my teaching career. I have been a Pre-K teacher, classroom teacher, ESL Resource Teacher, Adjunct Graduate Instructor, and Instructional Coach. With every shift, I have gained more and more knowledge in the area of literacy instruction.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Balanced Literacy is the foundation of my teaching style. You will notice that I incorporate opportunities for reading, writing, listening,and speaking into many of my products. As part of the Balanced Literacy approach, my lessons also reflect the Gradual Release framework through modeled, shared, guided, and independent activities.
