My favorite color is purple and the color also represents LOYALTY and AMBITION. To be a teacher you must be loyal to the career. It takes time and a lot of ambition to keep motivated through all the craziness. Next, elephants are patient, strong, and wise. These are all traits of a successful teacher: PATIENT with children and their learning, a STRONG leader for his/her classroom, and WISE to know that it is not only reading, writing, and math that is taught in the classroom. ABOUT ME: I taught Special Education for 3 years in a Kindergarten/1st grade Mild Intellectual & Cross Categorical Disabilities classroom. The past two years I have been working with the same school district in the Professional Development Department being a guest teacher in Kindergarten through 12th grade classrooms, general and special education. It has been an adventure, to say the least! I have learned and grown so much from these experiences. I have been married since March 2009 and we have a Belgian Malinois named Scout. :)
