I am currently in my 12th year of teaching Elementary Physical Education in the state of Minnesota in the South Washington County School District #833.
My daily physical education philosophy is fueled by passion, intention, efficiency, and love. I teach a standards based curriculum that strives to meet the physical education standards set by SHAPE America and the Minnesota Department of Education. From the start to the finish of every class period, my students are engaged with self-motivated, visual, and high repetition learning that focuses on skill acquisition, high levels of physical activity, and thoughtful social and emotional learning/interaction. Every day my students leave my classroom they know WHAT they learned, WHY they learned it, and HOW the teacher and the student both knew they learned it. Above all else, they leave my classroom knowing I NOTICE them, CARE about them, and want them to SUCCEED. I am PROUD OF MY PE.

Outside of my passion for physical education I commit my time and energy toward being a devoted Christian, loving husband, and a present and playful father. When I get a little me time, I love to fish, bike, hike, play volleyball, and go to the cabin.
