In 1985, when I was 15, I went to visit a cute little daycare in Oklahoma. My stepmother worked there as their cook. Her cooking tasted amazing, so I knew those children were eating well. During my days of visiting the daycare, I knew working with children would be my future. Since then, I have worked at daycares, Head Start Preschools, and Mother's Day Out programs.
Teaching while having fun makes learning fun. I attempt to find a way to make every lesson interesting.

I graduated high school in Gatesville, Texas way back in 1988. While I could have been ranked higher in my class, I landed about in the middle of the pack. I found out that friends were way more fun than good grades. I started taking college courses in 1989 thanks to my best friend who convinced me that I could live my dream of going to college even if I didn't see a way. While working with children for more than 20 years, I have taken many classes pertaining to the care and education of children. . In 2018, I graduated from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. My children were adults by then and attended my graduation ceremony.
