Pom Pom's Plan Shop

I taught for 20 years. For three years I taught middle school, then for the rest of my teaching career I taught AP, IB and traditional Language Arts classes. I am descended from teachers and want to continue to help and support teachers as I was helped and supported.

Relational, malleable, balanced. I think a teacher has to be so many things in the span of a class period. My goal was to create organized, thoughtful plans that could be changed on the fly to suit the needs of the moment. I wanted student input and feedback on our lessons since they were the biggest stakeholders in the classroom. I always tried to read the room and plan accordingly.

My students consistently scored above the national average in IB Language A: Literature, scoring well in the individual assessments as well as aggregate marks.

MA--Curriculum and Instruction: University of Colorado-Boulder BA--English with a minor in Spanish: Colorado State University Several certificates in IB Language Arts, Apple Vanguard, technology and leadership.
