I have been teaching English for 6 years now. As a freelance English teacher, I create my own courses and materials. I also have some experience with teaching university classes because before I decided to pursue a career as an English tutor, I had been studying history of philosophy as a PhD. student. The role of a PhD. student comes with mandatory teaching practice. My love for academia is still strong, I adore working with university students who would love to have a little bit of guidance, for example reading English materials for their theses.
The pillars of my teaching style are: - The relationships with my students are based on mutual respect and understanding. - I act as a facilitator and a guide who encourages students to think for themselves and be responsible for their learning. - I tailor my lessons to the needs of my students while incorporating technology in the classroom and challenge them in every possible way. - I view making mistakes as a means of tracking progress and an opportunity for trying again. - I model good manners and life skills for my students while creating an English-speaking environment for them.
Yet to be added
- PhD. in History of Philosophy - state exam in English - TEFL certificate - state exam in Hungarian - different courses and certificates
In my personal life, I love learning about a variety of topics (psychology, time management and organization, homemaking etc.), spending time with my husband and our dog, going for walks in nature and cooking delicious food.
