I started teaching as a second career, earning teaching certificates in general and special education in 2012 and I’ve been on fire ever since. I began teaching ELA in the classroom but quickly learned that small group reading instruction and helping struggling readers was my true passion. I have been a reading specialist since 2016.
My teaching style is very goal and results-oriented. I use many avenues to target student needs while striving to make READING FUN! My perpetual goal is to create avid readers who never want to leave my office. I hope that my products will bring you joy and wonderful results!

I live in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois. I'm happily married to my dear husband Tim since 1999. We have two wonderful daughters and one lovable little Schnauzer named Bruno. I love entertaining, reading, and kind of need to be creating something at all times- whether it's food, embroidery, sewing, gardening, or making games & strategies for my students.
