TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Since 1999 I have shared my passion of writing and reading with my students in grades 7th to 11th. Many types of learners have entered my classroom, and I strive to motivate, engage, and educate every single one. I bring decades of experience to the materials that I create, and I hope that my desire to inspire students is evident in the lessons and curricula I offer here.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My goal is to inspire creativity, evoke curiosity, and maintain rigor. I try to remember what it was like to be a student sitting in an English classroom, and with that knowledge, I try to build assignments and units that I would have wanted to do when I was in school. If you are anything like me, you are constantly trying to perfect your craft. That means new ideas and new lessons. Every. Year. With that in mind, I will try to bring lessons to TPT that are worthy of repeat, so that we can both teach it again. :)

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

As many schools move toward a 1:1 computer ratio, I have become increasingly aware of how few of the traditional paper resources teachers have collected over the years work in the classrooms of today. My goal is to bring quality resources to educators that they too can use in a paperless classroom.
