After teaching for thirty-five years at the Grades K – 3 level, including literacy mentor, I am happily retired but still energetic. In addition to teaching, I am a published author with Scholastic Canada. (Perhaps you know some of my picture and beginning chapter books. Here are just a few: "Farmer Joe’s Hot Day", "How to Tame a Bully", "We’re All Friends Here", "How to Get Awesome"). Through Curriculum Plus, I also authored the writing resource, "Thoughts in My Pocket: Developing the Reading-Writing Connection in Grade 3". I've also written several free downloadable guided reading lessons.
Learning should be fun, engaging and challenging!
