I have been teaching for six years at Cedar Creek School. Four of those years were spent teaching Pre-K. The last two years, I have been teaching Kindergarten.
I try to give each student what they need, so I guess that means that I tend to teach the child as an individual as much as possible. This means that I spend a lot of time in individual conferences with the children especially with reading and writing. I try to foster their independence as well. If you came into my classroom, you would see a lot of small people chattering in small groups. It might look like chaos, but it is a very thought-out, pre-planned chaos that works well for me and my kids.
