MUSIC CLASSROOM FOR THE GLOBAL CITIZEN

I am a certified K-12 teacher with over a dozen years teaching experience, a decade or more in addition teaching private and small group lessons.

I pull from various influences including responsive classroom, mindful teaching approach and student centered lesson planning. I tend to gravitate towards evocative, improvisatory style hands on learning and less didactic, content driven lessons- but you will find quick activities and fun ideas here updated every few months. I have partnered with a colleague in Mexico to bring bilingual lessons, storytelling and music to our students- highlighting our distance learning material.

As a professional musician, artist and teacher, I have embarked on my graduate studies in Music education with a concentration on Orff Schulwerk. I hold a bachelors of Arts with emphasis on Instrumental Music teaching from The College of New jersey.
