TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Teaching middle school is kind of like visiting Middle-earth. It’s a magical journey filled with elves, dwarves, hobbits, queens, kings, and a few corrupt wizards. Words to the wise: pick your traveling companions well.

MY TEACHING STYLE

As a teacher I am a hands-on guider, ready to instruct and modify my lessons as necessary to meet the needs of my student learners. I myself hungrily continue to learn, read, and explore at every opportunity. Technology is a wonderful tool which is frequently utilized in my classroom!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Graduated with Cum Laude honors and a 3.7 GPA in my field of study.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

After student teaching within Chicago's inner-city public school system, I graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa. I have been teaching middle school Language Arts within the walls of low income schools ever since!

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

My husband and I have resided throughout many regions within the state of Iowa. We currently live in a small ranch home with our cat Keeyah, who loves to bite toes whenever a window of opportunity arises!
