TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught various grade levels of Special Education and English at the Middle School and High School level at various schools in the Rochester area and I am currently a K-12 Special Education teacher at a small school in the Adirondacks. My current schedule consists mostly of middle school English and Math, however I oversee or work with students ranging from 3rd grade to 12th grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe it is extremely important to motivate young readers through a combination of choice, interest and exposure to texts. I did my Graduate thesis on Motivating adolescent readers and I apply the strategies I researched to the units and questions I create.
