I began my teaching career as a general education history teacher. Although I continue to have a deep love for teaching history, it was Special Education that stole my heart. I have taught in the Madison Metropolitan School District (Madison, WI), as well as the Long Beach Unified School District (Long Beach, CA) where I currently am a teacher. I served for one year as a substitute teacher, two years as a Special Education teacher for students with severe disabilities, and four years as a Special Education English teacher for students with mild-moderate disabilities. Most of my students have either a learning disability or Autism -- all of my materials can be used in both general and special education classrooms.

I began my teaching career with gaining a Bachelors of Science in Social Studies Education from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. It was while I was student teaching in the Madison Metropolitan School District that I fell in love with Special Education. I was hired as a Special Education teacher at middle school, and there I launched into my Masters Degree. I completed my Masters in Special Education from Concordia University of Wisconsin. In addition, I have gained my CLAD from the state of California.
