TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello, friends! I am a Licensed Professional School Counselor and Character Education teacher in the Chicagoland area. I've worked in elementary schools and middle schools in Tennessee and Illinois. My mission as a school counselor, no matter the setting, is to deliver an effective comprehensive school counseling program; I aim to foster students’ individual strengths, a love of learning, creative problem solving, safe and responsible citizenship, and an empathetic approach to relationships.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I align my counseling work with the ASCA model. I take a person-centered, solution-focused approach. I love empowering students to find creative solutions to their problems. As a Character Education teacher, I believe that lessons are most engaging when students are given the chance to have honest conversations, opportunities to express creativity, and the chance to relax and have fun!
