TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 13th year as an elementary teacher, (my 12th year as a third grade teacher). I also taught 2nd grade for one year. I have extensive experience with students in special education and gifted education. My student teaching experience was in 4th grade. I also have experience as a paraprofessional in early childhood special education, particularly for students with autism and behavioral disabilities. I also have certifications in high school psychology and school library media.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am very PRO-creativity, PRO-imagination, and PRO-laughter. It is SO important for school to be meaningful AND enjoyable! I'm very much a believer in teaching the whole child, and increasing student self-awareness and confidence.
