I am currently an Elementary Special Education Teacher in a Emotional/Behavioral Classroom with students ranging from Kindergarten to 5th grade. I have vast amount of experience working with students who have a trauma background! My classroom is focused on meeting the needs of all learners through creating a collaborative, engaging, and welcoming environment.
I am passionate about promoting student's resiliency and growth mindsets through consistency, high levels of student engagement, structure, and developing strong relationships within all who are in the classroom. I believe in the power of student voice when it comes to creating their own intervention plans and helping students self-monitor their own academic and behavior goals. Through consistent data collection, I am constantly adapting instruction and interventions to meet to the multiple needs of her students.
