A resource of books that can be used in the gym to teach Physical Education outcomes. I have presented this information at the Maryland AHPERD and EDA conferences over the past few years.
Have students peer assess locomotor skills in your gym! This activity is a great way to get students to practice their locomotors and to interact with other students. Each student must find a friend to watch them perform their movements correctly
Give student an opportunity to demonstrate what they know about their heart rate and what happens during exercise:
1. Measure heart rate
2. Graph heart rate
3. Explain how heart rate changes during exercise
4. Show locations for measuring heart
