TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my 5th year of teaching. My first two years I taught 8th grade math. Then, I taught Algebra 1 to 9th graders for 2 years. Now, I moved down to the elementary level to teach 5th grade, all subjects. In each position I have been in, STEM has been a focus and that is integrated into many of the lessons I do with my students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Knowing that learning takes place in a variety of forms, I strive to provide diverse resources and opportunities for students to engage with the content. Whenever possible, I aim to connect the learning to real-world examples and student interests to ensure that students can see themselves in the work we are doing.
