ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am the author of 8 published non-fiction books, one a best-seller in its 13th printing; I've also written three novels, the first of which won the Jack London Prize; I have over 200 skills that people have actually paid good hard money for; friends and I co-created the Children’s Grief Program at Kara, a community service agency in Palo Alto, CA. I also write the popular weekly blog, The Flowering Brain – translating social neuroscience into common sense – which I've been doing for more than five years; I firmly believe life is about who you meet and create things with. I have a B.A. degree in general psychology; a master of science degree in family systems; a master of arts in counseling psychology; and a Ph.D. in transpersonal psychology (a.k.a. Woo-Woo Psychology). A friend and I also co-created the Global Online Learning Program at Sofia University where my students have won research awards from the International Listening Association, the United States Body Psychotherapy Associ- ation and the American Psychological Association Finally, I've also been a full-time professional house builder for 25 years and built or remodeled over 80 houses. I live with my wife, our dog Bodhi, and our two cats, Archie and Gracie on Whidbey Island just north of Seattle.
