TEACHING EXPERIENCE

12 years teaching K-4 General Music, 1 of those years was K-8 and 1 was K-6. I've taught Gr 4 chorus (70-100 students) for 9 years and beginner band/orchestra for 2.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have 2 levels of Orff-Schulwerk training, and integrate that with the work of John Feierabend. I am certified in First Steps for Music as well as Conversational Solfege Levels 1 & 2

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I've presented professional development to teachers numerous times in my own district, once at Bridgewater State University (2014), and at the Massachusetts Music Educators Association All State Conference (2015).

The district where I teach is in its 5th consecutive year as a "Best Community for Music Education" per the NAMM Foundation.
