TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am an elementary school teacher in the NYC Department of Education. I have taught 1st to 5th grades, and have loved every challenging minute of it.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love teaching literacy and my passion shows in my practice in that area. I like to think of myself as a rigorous teacher who pushes their students to their maximum potential. I always try to make student friendly tools, address multiple entry points, and differentiate as much as I can in each of my lessons.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I am a preliminary Red Apple Teacher in NYC. I have received positive recognition from both my principal and district superintendent for practices they have observed in my classroom. I also have been rated highly effective for my teacher practice two years in a row.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, my Masters Degree in Special Education, and I am currently completing my thirty credits above my masters online.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I hope that any resource I put up is useful to teachers, purposeful for students, and makes the teaching day a little easier for anyone who uses it. I am a constant learner and love to collaborate with other teachers. I truly believe that the more teachers help each other out, the stronger our practice becomes. I would love any comments or suggestions. Hope you enjoy!
