I have worked as a library media specialist for nearly 20 years in an urban setting, specializing in pre-K through middle school. I have been selected by my district to lead professional developments on integrating technology into the classroom as well as helping the district acquire specialized programs like BrianPop for the district wide use.
I believe my teaching style is student centered where students focus on their needs, interests and learning styles. With this style of teaching I act as a facilitator, guiding students in their learning journey and I encourage active student participation and critical thinking
In 2015 I received the Carlton W. H. Erickson Award for honoring a member who has made an auspicious beginning in media services at the building level.
I received my Bachelors from the University of Bridgeport, and my Masters in Educational Technology in the University of Fairfield.
I absolutely love serving my student body and teaching them the endless possibilities of what they can achieve with the proper and effective use of technology.
