Lifelong Learning and Inspiring

After 13 successful years as a classroom teacher, from Kindergarten all the way up to 5th grade, I have made the next step in my journey as an educator as an instructional coach. This new role is the perfect leadership role for me! I love that I still work alongside students in the classrooms but I also get the privilege of working closely with inspirational and hard-working educators every day. We work on the school improvement process with new district initiatives and proven and research-based instructional practices. The resources I share on my TPT store are ones I have either used myself as a classroom teacher or resources I have created in the work I do with other teachers I coach.

My teaching style has always been adapted and modified as I meet the students who are sitting in my classroom. My style, I believe, always needs to reflect the needs of the students I serve. Being a teacher is like being a chameleon, being responsive to the environment and needs of what is in our current reality. Part of being a lifelong learner is constantly building our toolbox of best practices and resources as we grow!

I believe that we never stop learning and growing as individuals. The moment we lose that curiosity of the world that surrounds us, we have lost the passion for being an educator. My philosophy as an educator is to always strive to improve and develop. I hope to instill this philosophy of life in not only the teachers and students I work with, but also my own three amazing children. I want them to have a passion for lifelong learning and inspiring too!
