TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a 4th grade teacher in Maryland! I previously taught 3rd grade. I also have experience as a long term substitute in 2nd grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that children learn best when they are presented with information in a variety of ways and are given some freedom to explore on their own. I don't present new topics in the same way every time, but rather use a variety of strategies to engage every student. I think that it is important for students to have opportunities to develop their personal ideas as well as gain cooperative learning skills by working as part of a classroom team. Social/emotional development is important too, so creating a unified, positive classroom environment is crucial.

I strive to glorify God through everything I do.--> James 3:1 Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.
