I was born a teacher! My first classroom was my play room, and my only student was my sister! Growing up, I tutored, helped coach sports teams and dance classes, spent time in elementary classes as a mentor, all before graduating high school. In college, I majored in Elementary Education. I worked in an inclusive day care center where I eventually became lead preschool teacher. After graduation, I taught first grade and eventually moved to fifth grade. I've taught advanced ELA classes and inclusion ELA classes. Currently I am a stay-at-home mom and a lead preschool Sunday School teacher on Sunday mornings at our church. I still collaborate with former peers and colleagues to help create resources they can use in their classrooms and that I can use with my own children.
I am an active learner, and I believe most children are too! I like to create and use resources that are engaging and hands-on. My goal is to provide my students with meaningful learning experiences which inspire them to stay intrigued, ask questions, and create a desire to learn.
