Leanne Winkel

Leanne has been teaching middle school Language Arts since 2004. She also taught science at the middle level for several years.

Leanne strives to create a safe learning environment where all students are motivated, challenged, and feel that they are a part of a community of learners.

Leanne is the Language Arts Department Co-Chair at her school. She also serves on the PBIS Committee, School Improvement Team, and the district Curriculum Council.

Leanne earned her teaching degree from Central Michigan University with a major in Science and minor in Language Arts. She has a Master's Degree in Middle Level Education.

I am a highly effective classroom teacher who is passionate about educating. I bring expertise and experience in teaching children, collaborating with colleagues, and communicating with parent/guardians and community members.
