I have 33 years of teaching experience. I have taught social studies, special education, Early Intervention (all subjects), and gifted education(all subjects). I am retired and look forward to returning to teaching. I taught in low socio-economic communities. My goal included giving these students the best education I could offer. As a result, my students were successful. Teaching can be difficult, but the good things made it worthwhile.
My teaching style is fun, creative, and humorous. I believe if I do not enjoy my lessons, the students will not either.
During my lengthy career, I have received numerous awards. I have been the teacher of the week, the month, and of the year! I have earned multiple degrees, endorsements, and certificates. I am most proud of my doctorate of education degree.
I have an associate of science degree in education, a bachelor's degree in middle grades social studies and science, a specialist degree in teacher leadership, and a doctorate of education. I have multiple add-ons and certificates to complete my education history. As an educator, I have become a lifelong learner.
I am a published author and a mother to one son. I love to be creative. I love reading different genres, especially nonfiction. I enjoy thrift shopping and selling my treasures. I like to treasure hunt and interior decorating. I live in the south and enjoy spending time with family and friends.
