Science, at its core, is a convergence of discovery and creativity. That's what makes science so fun! Every student (and adult) enjoys discovering new things and being creative. Any student that thinks they don't like science has simply had a bad experience in a science class. My hope for each learner is to give them a fresh perspective of science that is exciting, meaningful, and fun.

Hi everyone, this is Joe from Land Loving Pirate Co. I am a 20-year veteran of teaching science to Middle School students, and have been building curriculum throughout my entire career. I am so thankful for the opportunity to offer you something that I did not have in my early days as an educator: a little bit of help. When first hired as a middle school science teacher many years ago, I was handed a textbook along with a binder of outdated activities on yellowed paper, and told that it was the curriculum.
