TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a Designated Early Childhood Educator, which means that I am a co-Educator in a Kindergarten class. I work directly with my teaching partner to develop and deliver curriculum related tools for our JK/SK class.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love color! I feel that children respond best to bright color and realistic images that they can relate to. I focus on hands-on activities and material that the children can manipulate, therefore my laminator gets quite a workout! I make use of our SmartBoard as an interactive learning too as much as possible and love to incorporate songs, dances and lots of "wiggle-breaks" for our students. I love to present my students with new and exciting activities that ensure they have fun as they learn. Learning through play is a large part of my programming.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I love it when my students have a "eureka" moment and grasp a concept they have been struggling with. There is nothing like the look in their eyes when they finally "get it"!
