TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught 5th grade ELA for two years, and have spent two years as an elementary Gifted Education teacher and Differentiation Coach!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love structuring my units around Socratic seminars and pulling strategies from Kaplan's research on Universal Themes and Depth and Complexity. My favorite moments as a teacher have been during Socratic seminars. I am constantly blown away by the insightful conclusions students draw, and the connections they can make between reading and real life. Teaching literature is my absolute favorite!
