Description

My students had so much fun cracking this code using their copies of The Westing Game! When completed, the code reveals a key quote from the novel. This is a great activity to begin a discussion of major themes in the novel and how they are revealed through specific quotes.

Included...

1. Student activity sheet with instructions. (Students will need their copies of The Westing Game to crack the code.)

2. Answer Key // Teacher explanation (I break down the code here, so you can use it for other quotes or versions of the novel!)

**THE CODE IS BASED ON THE PUFFIN MODERN CLASSICS 192-PAGE PAPERBACK VERSION OF THE NOVEL. This activity will need to be adapted to work with other versions of The Westing Game! (ISBN-10: 014240120X
ISBN-13: 978-0142401200)
