Kay Davidson

I can't imagine myself not teaching. I spent over 30 years in grades 1-6, and I have also taught art, music, and gifted and talented students. During my classroom years, I was also an adjunct professor, teaching methods courses to students at St. Mary's College and Indiana University. Those were busy times! In 2002, my writing program, The Simple 6TM, was published and Kay Davidson Staff Development Consultants, Inc. was born (www.thesimple6.net). Now, for over a decade, I have been partnering with schools across the US to provide effective, dynamic teacher workshops that focus primarily on assessment writing, math problem solving, integrated units of study, higher level thinking activities, and standards-based instruction. I am so excited to have the opportunity to share my expertise and resources with other inspiring educators here on TpT!

I love creativity! Most of my standards are covered through integrated units of study--and I believe you can teach almost anything through art. You'll always find my kids busy and involved in some kind of research-based, collaborative, fun project!
