TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have over 15 years of experience working with children ages birth - 18! I have worked with kids in many different environments ranging from school, to home, to tutoring, and summer camps. I love the work I do, and take great pride in providing fun and engaging activities for my kiddos!

MY TEACHING STYLE

It is my belief that learning, true learning, is done when we are fully immersed in every aspect of our curricular material. When we, as teachers, can take a topic and infuse it into every part of our classroom and our instruction. We have an ability to create an environment in which our spongy little students are able to absorb information from as many sources as possible. When given opportunities to manipulate, create, and express this information, they flourish. The learning becomes their own. That is my goal, to use stations to enrich our learning. Enrich learning to the point where my students feel as if they have truly traveled to the moon and taken their very own giant leaps, marched in Washington D.C. alongside Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and shared a bountiful harvest meal at the First Thanksgiving.
