2 years teaching 6-8th grades in a traditional classroom environment. 3 years tutoring in groups and one-on-one with struggling learners in a high school environment. 10+ years volunteer teaching with a non-profit youth organization called Pathfinders, serving students age 10-18 years. 1 year as program director for a non-profit organization serving families with children ages pre-k through 4th grade called Adventurers.

Project-Based Learning, learning through experience and discovery based on the principles of Montessori, PBL, SBL, and other similar pedagogy.

An award for excellence in curriculum development in 2021 as part of my MAT degree. Master Guide certified through Pathfinders.

M.A. in Teaching with preliminary level state licensure at the Secondary level for English Language Arts. B.A. in Theology with a minor in Biblical Languages.

I am passionate about engaging young people in learning that not only serves to develop their academic skills, but also to assist them in developing their personal character.
