Internship at Bauder Elementary School – Fort Collins, CO • Worked with the Special Education department to gain hands-on experience, develop an array of behavioral management techniques, and practice teaching strategies. • Acquired the skills to support positive behavior, set classroom routines, organize students for success, and develop classroom management for inclusion classrooms. Hampton Racquet Club Summer Camp – East Hampton, NY • Served as a head counselor to the preschool-aged children attending the camp. • Practiced leadership skills, implementing a daily routine, initiating my own lessons, and instructing several arts and crafts, play, and physical activities. Practicum at the Boys & Girls Club of Larimer County • Explored professional skills and gained valuable behavioral management experience by working on conflict resolution with the young, low-income members. Children’s Museum of the East End – Bridgehampton, NY • Served as an intern tour director, leading workshops and activities in particular sessions. • Helped implement plans and programs with young children and their families. East Hampton Sports Camp – Amagansett, NY • Gained valuable leadership experience serving as a head counselor for the preschoolers. • Practiced responsibility and supervision skills by ensuring the safety of the campers. • Cultivated teamwork and communication skills, while planning activities and transitions.
