TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My teaching experience is quite varied and I've taught from coast to coast. My teaching career began in 4th grade in Florida (2 years), then special education in St. Louis (1 year), 6th grade in California (1 year), reading specialist BACK in St. Louis (7 years), to now reading specialist/literacy coach in Virginia Beach (since 2011). There are wonderful teachers in all of the schools where I've had the privilege of working. Likewise, there are wonderful students eager to learn!

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Until I got married, I had lived my entire life in Florida. But boy did that change after we got married in 2000! It's good to broaden your horizons, right? My husband and I now reside in Virginia Beach with our 2 sons (ages 5 and 3).
