TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a special education teacher and I am in my 3rd year of teaching. My students are currently in 2nd through 5th grade. They spend the majority of their time in my classroom, however they are also included in their general education class for part of reading and/or math every day. I love being able to create and find my own curriculum materials for my students to individualize their instruction. I also enjoy utilizing the general education curriculum materials and providing adaptations to meet my students needs!

MY TEACHING STYLE

The needs in my classroom vary quite a lot, but I address the core academic subject areas as well as functional & and social skills, cooking, and behavior management. I love creating and updating routines for my students. I enjoy getting my students up and moving throughout their day and doing hands-on activities with them. I also collect a lot of data and utilize it to adjust my instruction.
