TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught secondary ELA for over fourteen years before transitioning into a school librarian position. I love all forms of kids, middle grade, and young adult literature, and I'm passionate about connecting kids to the right books to help them fall in love with reading. I also serve as a reading/literacy/ELA mentor teacher for my school; I love helping to develop beginning teachers.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My classes and assignments tend to be fun and creative, since I believe students learn and retain more when they're engaged in activities they enjoy!
