TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught science and math for 30 years at the high school level, mostly in private college preparatory schools. I taught biology in a border town south of Tucson for 2 years, then at a private Catholic school for 20 years, and am currently teaching in a private Christian school where I have been for 8 years. I am also the science department chair.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to have my students do science, not just hear about it or watch it. A major goal that I have is for students to walk out of my room at the end of the year saying, "Science is fun!" I also believe that labs, hands-on activities, and inquiry are key, but must be balanced with clear lecture discussions.
