TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Over 25 years teaching both in the U.S. as well as abroad to international students from 41 different nationalities. Science Department Chairperson .

MY TEACHING STYLE

Project Based Learning and Inquiry based labs. I have found that today's students have short attention spans due to being digital natives with mobile phones in their hands 24/7. Hence, I teach in short 15 minute lectures and then follow up with a hands on activity.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Marquis Who's Who Recognition 2022 as an expert in Science. Published author and speaker.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education of Biology from Eastern Michigan University. MEd in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Differentiated Instruction from the American College of Education. Certified in Project Lead The Way-Human Body Systems through an additional 80 hours of course work.
