With more than 30 years in education, my experience teaching nearly every grade level combines with positions as a reading specialist, literacy coach, staff developer, curriculum product developer, and nonprofit leader to bring the most effective materials for moving striving secondary readers forward.
Reading intervention is best when it's multisensory, no matter the age! I believe middle school is not too old for read-alouds, manipulatives, games, and fun!
Teacher of the Year, school level; District award for communication
Double Curriculum & Instruction Master's Degrees, Reading Specialist Certification, GT Certification, ESL Certification, Spalding and Wilson Certifications, Guided Reading ToT Certificate, Six +1 ToT Certificate
