I have had the opportunity to teach a wide variety of grades over the last fifteen years including preschool, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and high school SDC. I currently work as a 3 grade ELA teacher as well as a virtual school ELA Chair and Consultant for K-5.
I believe strongly in cooperative learning and small group work. Working in small groups not only gives me an opportunity to see where my students' strengths lie and where they could use more specific support, it gives them practice in working with others and encourages problem-solving skills. I also involve my classes in as many hands-on opportunities as I can. Children are active little beings- let's put that energy to work!
